INTRODUCTION

Like the rising sun, full and forceful and hot, shimmering in the hazy distance beyond the horizons of the weary human mind, a volatile mixture of anger and red-orange dust hisses from the belly of the earth. And as the day waxes forth, a storm brews deep in her troubled bosom, as the voice of resolve prepares for a turbulent birth. To what end shall we continue to ignore our purpose? Surely, through the grandeur and magnificence of the universe watching over us as a mother over her newborn child, we should find inspiration in seeking out our purpose and strive passionately towards its fulfilment. For some bizarre reason, we have neglected these subtle stirrings and have succumbed to the temptations of the darker side. For this, we must make good. It's no secret that the world today is in a place of deep uncertainty. Tempers are boiling, sides are polarising, and the pendulum is swinging higher and higher. Climate change, societal clashing, global upheaval, these are all symptoms of an unhealthy body, and to heal them we must first understand the cause. Wise leadership on a political level would be a healthy approach to resolving these problems, but with this severely lacking, the responsibility of informing now rests on the questioning parent, and essentially, on the individual... and for good reason. A society's condition is a collective reflection of the average condition of each individual participant. In today's world we have strayed from honesty and integrity, and have successfully transmuted moral and ethical etiquette into a corrupted foundational base. To bring moral sustenance back into our social infrastructure, we must begin the process from the bottom upwards. Today, Life is fighting back against this decay, and it would be in our best interests to pay some quality attention to Her voice.

LIGHT INVASION addresses these issues and suggests that our purpose on Earth is to move from an unrectified state into a rectified one. It also suggests that the time of transition is upon us and that this process has already begun. This process, initiated by the intensification of light, applies pressure on the societal infrastructure, agitating it and causing it to separate into its fundamental specific components, i.e. each individual human recipient. A prerequisite for peace on Earth begins with the betterment of the individual, and it is towards this end that each must work and yearn, if we are to achieve this collective goal. This agitation, therefore, is the stimulant that places the emphasis on the individual causing him/her to take a more honest stock of themselves amidst a new transforming reality. The exhibition depicts this influx of light as the "wise agitator" which in turn sets in motion the beginnings of a deeper human awakening. With the onus of change resting squarely on the shoulders of man, we must each, personally take responsibility for ourselves and make our final internal adjustments, and by so doing, will nurture the whole system into the desired harmonious state.

Light Invasion explores an organic strategy that is aligned with the human psyche. Beginning with the intensification of light, it moves through the stages of social breakdown, individual breakdown, individual reconstruction, social reconstruction, and finally resulting in peace. Understanding our predicament in relation to the bigger picture helps us gain clarity and thus navigate our lives towards the desired end-goal.

1 The Arrival

THE ARRIVAL depicts the conscious recognition of Light
penetrating the darkness of an unrectified state.

THE ARRIVAL
way, way beyond
where the mind does not know,
where deep waters confound
not even angles dare go,
there emerges a cavalry
with its wing in full flight,
steadfast on its mission
bearing arrows of light.
And deep in this darkness
as the owls’ hoot and shrill,
the cavalry advances
on our old broken hill,
with healthy intent,
not to wound nor to kill,
but awaken from slumber
man’s un-woken will

2 Permiation

As light enters the darkness it alters
the frequency, agitating the environment
and facilitating change.

PERMEATION
t’s all from light
and to light shall return,
no doubt in its time
each candle will burn,
to claim and expose it,
no stone left unturned,
to ignite and to own it,
each ounce … one must earn

3 Conception

The infusion or conception is the first micro shift in individual
consciousness and sets the precedent for a macro collective state.
This process was set in motion at the onset of physical life and is
propagated/achieved through the efforts of individual personal
development as a prerequisite for healthy relationship, and
ultimately a healthy society.

CONCEPTION
In love two combine, and as one two conceive
A gift from the Heavens in return do receive
To cradle and nurture, to love and to teach
Each infant a haven, its purpose must reach
First alone one must strive, and in self must fulfil
Only then two combine, and in love do God’s will

4 Panic

The fear of self is the greatest fear of all.

PANIC
Deep in ones bosom the inner heart knows
The incoming tide’s bearing tsunamis and woes’
To beat and to break us, liberate from the dark
The life deep inside us, our true human spark

To prepare for this tempest and embrace for its might
Don’t invest in earth shelters nor in guns for the night
But turn your gaze inwards, and explore who’s within
Lest your shelter implodes and your panic sets in.

But achieve it we will
Chant the wind and the trees,
Whispered Hymes from the hills,
Silent nod from the seas.
And a word of comfort
to what’s really at stake,
We’re at the dawn of transition,
… just before the daybreak

5 Chaos

There is purpose to everything. The purpose of chaos
is to agitate the status quo and prepare it for
re-evaluation and elevation to the next level.

CHAOS
Ghosts of vengeance, stiff intent
Brutal force, without consent
Vague memories of what was then
Now what is left but broken men

No doubt good purpose, behind this veil
To shatter that which conceals the grail
For in this shell lies life and gust
And from this gloom rise men of trust

6 Disorientation

Disorientation is the product of chaos, and the outcome is that your world around you has fallen, and the subtle realisation the adjustment to be made is personal and internal. This can be a very confusing, daunting state as it leaves one face to face with oneself.

DISORIENTATION
Which way, which way, no recollect
No family, your heart bereft
rubble stumble so displaced
There’s naught but I for me to face

Yes, scary is this foreign thought
without which life will come to naught
And if you fail to claim your voice
Through hooves of thunder … you’ll make your choice.

7 submission

There comes a point during the struggle, if the mind is defeated, that it submits, not to the defeat, but to the relinquishing of old ways. If we can’t work this out personally then life will impose it upon us, but not to destroy us but rather to facilitate growth. This is the purpose of struggle.

SUBMISSION
Furious sky, battered plains
mired exhausted, charred remains
as new moons wax and old one’s wane
t’s the cycle of life in shackles and chains

now broken battered shoulders bent
eventually the heart relents
like a compost heap in a human frame
recycles the loss into tomorrow’s gains

8 Contemplation

When the dust begins to settle, and we peek out
from our hiding places, we are faced with new
horizons and a new reality. Sooner or later, we
learn that life is not random but hyper specific,
and that what’s hurled at us is for the sake of our
own betterment. Through deep contemplation we
learn to trust life, for we realise that in every situation
there awaits opportunity. In this way, we are in a sense
free, and with that, fear and uncertainty dissipate.

CONTEMPLATION
The inevitable must of settling dust
The mind peeks out from its cover,
As new prospects appear
in this frightening sphere
you must trust if you want to discover

so think with a wedge on this crumbling edge
are these gifts or a cursed reception??
be it blessing or curse
Over which we traverse
Surely purpose has invested intention.

Through good council my friend
I’ve learned in the end
Each alone is a lantern and urn,
and this blessing and curse
Through their dance they disperse
The lessons each comes here to learn.

So don’t fight off your pain
Learn to listen and gain
Trust that all is a gift for tomorrow,
And in the end, once we’ve made our amends,
There’ll be no need for suffering nor sorrow.

9) Consideration

Every situation holds opportunity. To extract them, one needs always to look deeper, for it’s in the depths of yourself that these opportunities lie hidden. Consideration of options then, is a move in the right direction. Faced with new or deeper realities after old ways have been stripped bare, makes space for new beginnings. It is therefore vital to contemplate deeply, for what one is forming today, is the upgraded foundation upon which you will stand tomorrow.

CONSIDERATION
Consider your options
As a miner for gold
For based on your choices
Your life will unfold
First wash them and clean them
Choose, Measure and weigh
Then pound them and knead them
Like rich earthen clay
Then Mould and conform
With love in your hands
What your heart has unearthed
From the Soul of Her lands
So, build your base wisely
For upon it you’ll sow
All your dreams of tomorrow
And towards them you’ll grow

10 Transformation

10) TRANSFORMATION
Transformation stems from within. When the mind identifies stillness as solution, and realises that stillness is founded on trust, that’s where transformation begins. For it’s the uncertainty in the subconscious that causes the internal chatter, which is the mind in search of certainty. But since certainty is based on trust, the only conclusion is, that the individual hasn’t yet learned that, its LIFE ITSELF that he must trust. To this I say, when you find yourself, you will find life, and when you find life you will be still, … and you will trust.

TRANSFORMATION
Deep in the mountains
Where the wild winds blow still,
Where oceans turn certain
As Moon turns the mill,
Forlorn in Her heart
Leaning over Her sill,
As She tugs on the strings
Of Mans uncertain will

You can trust me My Children
Beg Her eyes since their birth,
Let go, She laments
As tears tumble to Earth,
See they’ve watered the lilies
And the trees are all grown,
When you trust me My darlings
Then you’ll sit on your throne,
You can trust me my darlings
Take my hand…lets go home
